Inaugurated in 1994, the GEO exhibition is the premier showcase of oil & gas exploration technology and services in the Middle East, attracting NOCs, IOCs and major operating companies.
Regular high profile international exhibitors include supermajors Chevron, ExxonMobil, Shell and Total and service industry giants BGP, CGG, Halliburton, Occidental Petroleum Corporation, Schlumberger and Weatherford. A host of specialist suppliers and distributors, numerous new entries to the Middle East market and large national groups from North America and the UK complement this line up.
Conference Theme: Today's Geoscience, Tomorrow's Energy
The GEO conference is organised and developed by the American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG), the European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers (EAGE) and the Society of Exploration Geophysicists (SEG). Additionally, GEO is fully supported by the Dhahran Geoscience Society (DGS), the Bahrain Geoscience Society (BGS), the Geological Society of Oman (GSO), Emirates Society of Geoscientists (ESG) and the Qatar Geological Society in cooperation with a committee of national and international oil company representatives.
This combination of local and international expertise ensures that the programme is highly technical with leading edge science brought together from around the world mixed with local knowledge from the region’s leading geoscientists.
